Karina Somoza joined the notMYkid team as a Prevention Specialist in 2023. She is an Arizona Native passionate about helping and uplifting others. Karina prides herself on helping the community that she is a part of. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Communications with a Minor in Women’s Studies from the University of Texas at El Paso. Karina’s vision is to spread mental health awareness, while advocating, educating, and supporting the youth. Her hope is to give youth the right tools and support when facing challenges. In her free time Karina enjoys hanging out with her dog, cooking, and watching sports to relieve stress. Karina also loves being with her family and friends who have supported her throughout her journey.
