Cole Nochumson joined the notMYkid team in 2023 as a Prevention Specialist. He was born in Chicago, IL, and has resided in Arizona for over 15 years. He graduated college in 2022 from Southern New Hampshire University with a bachelor’s degree in data analytics. His favorite portion of data analytics was problem-solving. He uses facts and information to determine the best possible solutions. A little insight into Cole, his brain thinks more logically than emotionally, which is why data analytics was his degree path. However, the lack of emotion that his thought process uses led him to a job as a prevention specialist teaching youth how to make positive life choices.

He is deeply committed to helping others and goes above and beyond to make a positive difference in their lives. One of Cole’s favorite things to do is be active. His favorite quote is, “If you had $86,400 and someone stole $10, would you throw $86,390 away for revenge? Or move on and live? Right, move on and live. See, you have 86,400 seconds each day. Don’t let someone’s negative 10 seconds ruin the remaining 86,390. Life is bigger than that. And so are you.” He started living by this quote during high school when the most insignificant speed bumps would negatively impact his attitude. When minor inconveniences occur, he’ll now say, “It is what it is.” and move on with life. He has learned to enjoy the little things in life and accept that every day is not perfect. Life is a challenge, but through his perseverance, he is now in a position to teach others how to be the best YOU.
