Koren Hudson joined the notMYkid team in June as our Clinical Director to lead our new behavioral health services program scheduled for opening (pending licensure) in the fall of 2020. Koren has over 12 years of experience working in nonprofit outpatient behavioral health programs, four years in a management role and extensive experience in direct practice in both outpatient and inpatient psychiatric care facilities.

Koren received her Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling with a Concentration in Trauma, Abuse and Deprivation from Ottawa University, and is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). Koren has been trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). Koren completed all of her licensure hours as a trauma therapist with a significant focus on family therapy to help families understand the impact of trauma while also being able to heal from it. Koren will bring her rich history of individual and group therapy and program development/enhancement to launch notMYkid’s new and exciting venture into general mental health and substance use disorder treatment services for adolescents and their families. Her passion for this work comes from her devotion and dedication to help children and families heal from trauma and addiction.

Mirroring her passion for helping others is her passion for her family. Koren has a blended family of six kids ranging from the age of nine and two over the age of eighteen! A large family keeps her and her husband Josh on the move with plenty of weekend activities, sporting events, and school functions.
