Julio Saran has over a decade of experience in Youth Development, Program Implementation, and Arts Education. As a former opportunity youth, Julio recognizes the value and importance of peer support, mentorship, and community. As an AmeriCorps program coordinator and site coordinator, Julio has provided direct service to over 10,000 youth throughout his career, often delivering social-emotional curricula through play and arts education. As a Program Director for the YMCA, Julio ran a licensed site with 70 participants. Partnering with different organizations, Julio was able to provide resources for students to develop their motor, social and emotional skills. Julio has written and has been awarded several arts grants to develop himself as an artist and to develop movement-based programming to Arizona artists of all ages. Julio enjoys traveling and participating in dance competitions across the country, dancing with friends, and building community.
