Elena Zavalza is the Latinx coordinator at notMYkid. She has experience working in the community since 2013 and has worked with various ages throughout her career. Elena utilized her bilingual abilities in infant mental health for 5 years, guiding parents and caregivers through their journey with their child or children with difficult behaviors with psychoeducation and evidence-based practice curriculum. This included partnerships with schools throughout Maricopa County and delivered the training to help teachers understand and manage the big behaviors.

Elena has a bachelor’s degree in Sociology, and a master’s degree in Family and Human Development from ASU and will soon have her master’s in social work from Grand Canyon University. Elena loves learning and sharing her knowledge with others to help them thrive in their environment.
