Antu Asfaw is the Youth Program Coordinator and a Prevention Specialist at notMYkid. Since beginning his sobriety in 2016, Antu has devoted himself to his community and worked in the behavioral health field. He is knowledgeable about the struggles of addiction and the various stages of recovery. He wishes to teach others about his struggle so that they don’t have to walk the same path. Since arriving at notMYkid, Antu completed graduate school and received his Master’s degree in Sustainability. He is the Co-chair of the Tempe Coalition Youth Committee. Antu is a firm believer in educating students with the proper tools to be prepared for the various curveballs in life such as substance use, healthy relationships, and proper mental health care to live up to their full potential. Antu is also a Certified Peer Support Specialist for notMYkid.
