Alexa Morgenroth joined the notMYkid in 2021 with over 10 years of experience in the behavioral health industry. Alexa is dedicated to fostering relationships without judgement and believes in the importance of creating safe platforms that empower individuals to pursue their passions on their way to living their own purpose driven life. Alexa’s personal journey to sobriety motivates her dedication to creating enhanced experiences and maximum program engagement for those seeking help and support. As the Director of Operations and Growth, Alexa will build and implement a sustainable framework for outpatient services so youth and families can receive treatment without facing complicated barriers to care. By building a framework of program processes and procedures that focus on evidenced-based methods, services can be championed in a culture that is ethical, inclusive, safe, and compassionate.
Prior to joining the notMYkid team Alexa was the Executive Director at Springboard Recovery where she created multiple programs and built a team dedicated to helping individuals recover from drug and alcohol dependency. Alexa has held various positions throughout the substance use field including at the Arizona Governor’s Office of Youth, Faith, and Family where she worked to develop statewide programs to combat the opioid crisis. By combining her personal experiences and background in behavioral health, she can educate and help clients and families overcome challenges. Alexa holds a master’s degree in Developmental Psychology from Columbia University and a certificate of Early Childhood Education from Hunter College. Alexa is originally from Long Island by currently resides in Scottsdale Arizona with her wife and Italian Greyhound (Ribs). She finds joy in swimming, camping, and trying new foods. Alexa believes in the power of mindset and lives by the words “Change your thoughts, Change your world.”
