Concerned about your teen?  Consider these questions:        

  1. Does your teen make themselves sick because they feel uncomfortably full?
  2. Do they worry they have lost control over how much they eat? 
  3. Have they recently lost more than 15 lbs in a three month period? 
  4. Do they believe themselves to be fat when others say they are too thin?
  5. Would they say that food dominates their life?

 

Any person answering “yes” to two or more of these five questions is quite likely to have an eating disorder and should seek a medical consultation with their physician or an eating disorder specialist.
